Attract Clinging Birds Clinging birds can use the mesh shroud to feed.
The Squirrel Buster Classic is perfect for attracting clinging birds like chickadees, nuthatches, titmouse, and woodpeckers. A wire mesh shroud surrounds the feeder that birds can easily cling to. From this mesh shroud, birds can feed from four ports at two different levels. The ports are spaced perfectly near the bottom of the feeder. Locating them at the bottom ensures that bird seed will reach them even when the feeder is not full. However, enough room is given between the two port levels to encourage many birds to feed comfortably at once. Many birds enjoy both the clinging surface and the four perches, including finches and sparrows. However, if you want to convert this to a clingers only bird feeder, simply remove the perches.
